changes name to Electrolux Construction Products North
America
OLATHE, Kan. - The Electrolux product line
for the construction and stone industry has changed its
name from Dimas North America to Electrolux Construction
Products, effective January 1, 2004. Electrolux Construction
Products is the parent company of Dimas, Diamant Boart,
Partner, Target and Felker.
According to Anders Ströby, President, Electrolux
Construction Products. "By grouping Dimas, Diamant
Boart, Partner, Target and Felker, all leading brands when
it comes to diamond tools and related machines, together
under Electrolux Construction Products, we associate ourselves
with the Electrolux Group and the benefits of its financial
strength, long-term strategy and ability to make considerable
investments in marketing as well as in R&D." However,
the focus will continue to be on building the individual
brands. Each brand is already well established in their
respective markets and will continue to be marketed and
sold in 70 countries through retailers and directly to
end-users. "Our main brands are strong and well-known
in the construction and stone industry, and we will of
course continue to strengthen those brands," Ströby
explains. "We have established clear brand strategies
with defined communication platforms, as well as clear
strategies for product ranges and distribution."
As a world leader, Electrolux Construction Products is
one of two product lines under Electrolux Professional
Outdoor Products. The other is Electrolux Outdoor Power
Products, to which Husqvarna, the strong, global premium
brand, belongs. Specifically, Electrolux Construction Products
has two separate businesses: Construction (diamond tools,
equipment and handheld power cutters), and Stone (diamond
tools). Last year, after the acquisition of Diamant Boart,
there was a period of integration of products, brands and
sales forces. Having successfully completed this process,
Electrolux Construction Products has emerged as a world
leader in the diamond tool and related equipment business.
Electrolux Construction Products has three parallel sales
forces in the major markets, each serving different customers.
